Bradford

Both the Ashton Canal and the River Medlock run through Bradford. Bradford is historically an economically deprived area – although since the 2002 Commonwealth Games, the area has improved. Bradford is an area of Manchester – it neighbours Manchesterâ€s district of Beswick to the west. The two areas are collectively referred to as “Bradford-with-Beswick” and is only a ten minute walk from Manchester Piccadilly Station.

Bradford houses the largest Asda in the country. Bradford is also close to the home to the Etihad Stadium – which Manchester City Football Club rent from the Manchester City Council. Bradford is also the home of the Manchester Velodrome and BMX Centre. Plans for regeneration and investment in the area include Manchester Cityâ€s Sports Village complete with bars and a hotel, and a new Aquatics centre which is due to have a Metro line running through within the coming years.

Average property values in Bradford are just short of £100, 000 but have declined almost 1% in the past year. However due to regeneration projects in East Manchester, values are set to rise over the coming years. The average rent per month in Bradford is approximately £600.
